As part of the stallion pre-selection process, stallions are pre-selected for the Verden stallion licensing and stallion sales. The requirements for pre-selection and licensing are adapted to the respective age and stage of development of the stallions.
From October 13 – 15, the preliminary selection of young stallions with a focus on jumping takes place in Verden. During these days, the selection committee reviews around 40 stallions, which must be presented in free-running, free jumping, and on hard ground. To the licensing, the stallions are also presented in free-running, twice in free jumping, and on hard ground.
From October 16 -20, the preliminary selection of young stallions with a focus on dressage takes place in Verden. During these days, the selection committee reviews around 60 young stallions, which must be presented in free-running, free jumping, and on hard ground. To the licensing, the stallions are then presented in free-running, on the lunge, and on the triangular track.
Applications for the stallion preselection should be submitted to the Hannoveraner Verband online via MeinHannoveraner, using the online form by September13, 2026. For registrations that are not received by the Verband’s office by the deadline, a late registration fee of €150 per stallion will be charged in addition to the registration fee of €100.
The registration must state the selection date on which the stallion is to be presented. An allocationby time will be made after the registration deadline and will be communicated to each exhibitor in writing by email before the selection trip.
