The final riding horses of the year were sold online at the Hanoverian Society’s November Auction. The top-priced talent was Con Quiena, who sold for 38,000 euros. The 33 auction horses averaged 14,864. The collection also featured 14 two-and-a-half-year-old youngsters.
A five-year-old show jumper topped the auction results. Thirteen bidders competed for Vet+ Con Quiena by Canthalou/Contender (breeder: ZG Franceschini, Steinhorst; exhibitor: Laura Franceschini, Wolfsburg). The dark bay, from the dam line of Falkura, has already earned ribbons in show jumping up to class L. An Italian show jumper proved the most determined bidder, securing the promising mare for 38,000 euros.
The most sought-after dressage horse was a real eye-catcher. Freedom by Fürst Belissaro/Riverside (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Meyer, Wingst) will be heading to the United States for 27,000 euros. A member of the dam line of Trutha, Gold Play by Grey Flanell/Sir Donnerhall, is already competing internationally at Grand Prix level in the USA.
International buyers were particularly active at the Hanoverian Society’s online auction. More than half of the riding horses will be leaving Germany. Five horses were sold to France, three to Switzerland and two to Italy.
Galanto by Glamourdale/Secret entered the final bid-up of the Youngster Auction with the highest pre bid. His breeder and exhibitor, Martin Klinkenborg of Leer, had bought Galanto’s dam, Hann. Pr. St. Sweet Secret, at the Elite Foal Auction in the Niedersachsenhalle. Galanto is her first foal and earned his breeder 16,500 euros.
