At the European Junior Championships in Hagen, the German team took home the gold medal. As the top pair in the first qualifying round, Blue Water by Balou du Rouet/Lordanos (breeder: Simone Kossel, Fritzlar) and Malte Merschformann were one of the team’s mainstays. The pair had only one knockdown in the second round. In the individual final, they remained penalty-free and narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth.
The juniors from Switzerland won the bronze. Buster Moon, by Blockbuster/Diarado (breeder: Tobias Schult, Hünxe), and Sacha Bek shone with two penalty-free rounds.
