The most expensive horse was sold after 31 bids. Bred for eventing he will continue to be used in this discipline in the future: the typey Dan the Man H by Diacontinus/Forrest xx (Breeder and exhibitor: Hagemann GbR, Obernholz) changed hands for 42,000 euros and will now be shipped to Great Britain. Two interested parties from Great Britain fought a thrilling bidding duel for the highly interestingly bred grey gelding from the dam line of Nordküste. First Class, a promising young dressage horse by Fidertanz/De Niro (breeder: ZG Heymann, Berlin, exhibitor: Henning Kranz, Rethem), was the highlight of the dressage horses. With a knock-down price of 40,500 euros, the talented movement artist became the most expensive offer for the dressage arena. A renowned training and competition stable in France secured the extraordinary youngster.
The top prices achieved by Dan the Man H and First Class underscore the continued confidence of international buyers in the quality and reliability of the Verden auctions. 25 of the 62 young talents were sold to buyers abroad. France led the international buyers, securing nine horses, followed by Great Britain and Spain with four horses each. Additional buyers came from Finland, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and the USA.
