With the aim of promoting the breeding of above-average eventing horses, the star system of the Hanoverian Eventing Horse Breeding Program was implemented. Eventing mares with good individual or offspring performance are awarded.

In order to receive a PHV* / PHV** / PHV*** classification, the mare must be actively registered as a broodmare with the Hanoverian Society. There is currently no population of eventing horses.

Upon request, you will receive a sticker for your mare’s horse passport, which you can apply for here. The processing fee is €10.00 plus VAT. If your mare reaches a higher level in the PHV system, you can apply for a new sticker.
For future offspring, the highest level achieved by the mare will appear in the pedigree.

Some stallion stations offer a stud fee reduction for PHV*, PHV**, and PHV*** mares.
