Hanoverian Championships: Dressage and show jumping horses crowned

The seven- and eight-year-old dressage horses kicked off the final competitions on Friday. Titania K by Top Gear/Prestige Pilot (breeder: Willem Klausing GbR, Diepholz) with Leonie Richter entered the arena as the last starter after winning the preliminary competition, confirmed her performance once again, and took the title. Alissimo by Asgard’s Ibiza/Belissimo M (breeder: Dorothee Heitmüller, Nienburg) and Franziska Haase were awarded the silver ribbon. Royal Black Diamond by Rotspon/Laurentio (breeder: Ralf Zierke, Braunschweig) with Jessica Lynn Thomas took the bronze.

One day later, Leonie Richter celebrated her second title at the Hanoverian Championships, this time in the saddle of the six-year-old Jupiter BC by Jovian/Fürst Romancier (breeder: Gestüt Greim, Bärnau). The expressive dark bay also completed an HLP evaluation test. He won ahead of Donicio by Don Martillo/Benicio (breeder: Horst Rosenblatt, Bochum), who once found a new owner at the Verden Foal Auction. In Elmlohe, he was presented by Melanie Klein. The dressage rider from Schleswig-Holstein took third place in the saddle of Designer by Da Costa/Don Frederico (breeder: Bernd Hinck, Deinstedt), winning her second ribbon.

A complete horse with charm and elegance: Fürst GG by Fürst Romancier/Sandro Hit (breeder: Gerold Gögele, Bleckede) clearly dominated the field of five-year-old dressage horses with Kira Goerens-Ripphoff. Second place went to Found a Dream, son of For Final/Scolari (breeder: Bernd Eufinger, Brechen), and Jana Marie Thamm. Sinato by Secret/For Romance (breeder: Dr. Christine Feichtinger, Vaduz/LIE) and Thomas Schulze completed the podium in third place.

To the cheers of the audience, Diarello FRH by Diamant de Semilly/Cascadello (breeder: Stefan Aust, Armstorf) and Tim-Uwe Hoffmann took the victory in the seven-year-old show jumpers. The dark bay already has several titles to his name, including two victories in the Hanoverian Show Jumping Masters and being part of the victorious Hanoverian team at the WBFSH Studbooks Jumping Global Champions Trophy in Valkenswaard/NED. Carlantus (breeder: Henning Müller-Rulfs, Ritterhude), son of Carlo/Adlantus As, took the vice title with Hilmar Meyer. Contina (breeder: Heinrich Bremer, Nöpke), daughter of Comme il faut NRW/Nobre xx, took the bronze medal with Mynou Diedrichsmeier.

One day later, breeder and owner Stefan Aust from Armstorf had a second reason to celebrate. His Diamant de Semilly/I’m Special de Muze son Dias won the four-year-old class with Nico Tomfohrde in the saddle. The vice-champion was Pokemon by Poker de Mariposa TN/Valentino (breeder: Stall Bokhorst, Schillsdorf), registered in the Rhineland, with Harm Wiebusch. Third place went to Dear Debbie, a daughter of Diaron/Balou du Rouet (breeder: Gerald Wiese, Ottersberg), with Ole Klintworth.

The highest score among the five-year-olds was achieved by the Comme il faut NRW/Calido daughter Hann.Pr.A. Copa Cabana (breeder: Anneli Brunckhorst, Wohlesbostel) with Finn Brunckhorst. The typey gray mare was not only the winning mare at last year’s show in Neuenfelde, but also received the Ib Prize at the Herwart von der Decken Show. Mynou Diedrichsmeier won the second ribbon, again with a horse named Contina. This time it was a Conthargos/Valentino daughter (breeder: Harm Wiebusch, Fredenbeck), which the show jumper discovered at the Elite Auction in Verden in October last year. And also Nico Tomfohrde came second for the second time: he came third with the self-bred Hann.Pr.A. Skarabea T by Stolzenberg/Qualito.

Like the seven-year-olds, the six-year-olds determined their champions in a jump-off against the clock. Three mares were in the lead. The fastest round was delivered by the Checkter/El Bundy daughter Cheers to life LA (breeder: Lotta Aalto, Bargstedt) with Josch Löhden. The pair were almost four seconds faster than last year’s winners, Ginger nut FRH by Glasgow van’t Merelsnest/Canstakko (breeder: Ulf Platz, Oldendorf) and Julia Plate, who won the silver ribbon. Third place went to Quick Lady (breeder: Alfred Bruch, Winsen), a daughter of Quickthago VDO/Catoki, with Sebastian Elias. Two years ago, she was part of the Elite Auction in Verden.
