Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships: Dc-10, Sugar N Spice, Benjamin Franklin, and Vantastica are the new champions

One of the major attractions is the Hanoverian Championship for three-year-old stallions. 10 for trot, 10 for canter, 10 for conformation – it doesn’t get any better than that. He already has the 10 in his name: with dream scores, Dc-10 by Dynamic Dream/Escolar (breeder: ZG Rütten-Janßen, Mönchengladbach) took the white and yellow winner’s sash. Alvaro Rodriguez Siscar was in the saddle of the impressive bay. Three tenths behind, Daan G by Donkey Boss/Don Olymbro (breeder: Stutteri G., Lynge/DEN) caused a sensation with Vanessa Crnadak. The radiant chestnut had left the stallion sales in the Niedersachsenhalle last year as a premium stallion and at a sensational price. Third place went to Beck’s/Londonderry’s son Beck’s in Black (breeder: Christan Thelker, Venne) with Africa Algarra Ruiz. He was also part of last year’s high-class lot of dressage stallions.

Three mares took the medal positions in the mares and geldings category: The Secret/Sandro Hit daughter Hann.Pr.A. Sugar N Spice (breeder: Gestüt W.M., Visselhövede) with Jessica Lynn Thomas took the victory with ease. She received the day’s highest score of 9.50 for her trot and canter. She is none other than the half-sister of the private stud Bon Coeur, who was awarded the Grande prize in 2023. The vice-champion was Lily of the Valley by Livaldon/Fürstenball (breeder: Johannes Hesslink, Emlichheim) with Daniela Graé in the saddle. She is the full sister of last year’s world champion seven-year-old dressage horse, Lifetime FRH. Both mares competed on Monday at the same venue at the Herwart von der Decken Show. The bronze medal went to the Santos/Finest daughter Salvina (breeder: Hartwig Bulle, Lüdingworth), who was presented by Leslie Rohrbacher.

Having qualified for the final in third place, the Von Und Zu/Mighty Magic daughter Hann.Pr.A. Vantastica (breeder: Ignaz Berger, Sulzbach-Rosenberg) with Janina Tietze won the title of Hanoverian Riding Horse Champion of the four-year-old mares and geldings. Silver went to the Filou/Scolari daughter Hann.Pr.A. Filouna (breeder: Ingo Pape, Hemmoor). She was ridden by Greta Heemsoth, who had won the bronze medal at the World Championships for six-year-old dressage horses the day before with her horse Endorphin FRH. In the riding horse championship, bronze went to Bijou du Soleil by Bonds/Dimaggio (breeder: Georg Kok, Bunderhee) with Leslie Rohrbacher, who had already been in the saddle of the bronze medal winner in the three-year-old mares and geldings class.
There was great excitement before the final of the four-year-old stallions. 10 – it doesn’t get any better than that. This dream score was awarded to the canter of Benjamin Franklin by Bon Vivaldi/Royal Blend (breeder: Wilhelm Kamps, Cuxhaven). And his rider Janina Tietze also had every reason to celebrate, as after Hann.Pr.A. Vantastica she was riding the second Hanoverian champion of the day. The vice-champion was Louis Löwenherz von Bellin by Lord Europe/Don Index (breeder: Dressurstall Sandbrink GmbH, Meinersen) with Leonie Richter. Third place went to Eaton of Westfalica CvM by Escolar/Florencio (breeder: Caroline von Möller, Bielefeld) and Sabrina Geßmann.
