At the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Van Helsing/Lady’s King daughter Untouchable (breeder: Marie-Claire Seidel, Schöningen) and Ramzy Al Duhami won the Individual Group B title after claiming team gold with Saudi Arabia. The pair was the only combination to remain clear throughout all five rounds. The 54-year-old rider and his 2013-born chestnut mare have thus successfully defended their title. In recent years, the pair have competed at all major championships, including the Olympic Games in Paris/FRA, the World Championships in Aachen, and the World Cup Finals in Riyadh/KSA and Basel/SUI.

In the exciting jump-off for the individual final, Chaccball by Chacco-Blue/Baloubet du Rouet (breeder: Gestüt Lewitz, Mühlen) and Qatar’s Basem Mohammed claimed the bronze medal.

In the team competition, the United Arab Emirates finished second behind Saudi Arabia. The team included Cornet XL by Cornet Obolensky/Lex Lugar (breeder: Pferdezucht Dr. Rowold, Haselünne) and Shaikha Latifa Almaktoum. Japan finished third, with Quaid/As di Villagana son Quincy (breeder: Stall Bokhorst, Schillsdorf) and Taizo Sugitani contributing two clear rounds to the team’s result.
