At the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois, Felicitous by Fürst Belissaro/Dancier (breeder: Ewald Gerdes, Westoverledingen), claimed the title for seven-year-old dressage horses with Adrienne Pagalilauan. Second place went to Deambulo PWD by Don Martillo/Fahrenheit (breeder: Guido Niethammer, Weil der Stadt), who found a new owner as a foal at the May Auction. He had previously enjoyed success with Hendrik Baumgart in a riding horse class before finding a new home in the United States. Petra Warlimont presented the chestnut gelding.
The best five-year-old was Tuscany, a son of Taurus/Cavallieri xx (breeder: Petra Kerschbaum, Vienna/AUT), who won the FEI dressage horse tests under Jessica Kozel by a commanding margin. The four-year-old champion also had Hanoverian breeding papers: Frisky Business RH by Five Star/Londontime, masterfully presented by her breeder, Nora Batschelder. Saroy, a son of Secret/Fürsten-Look (breeder: Andrea Lahmeyer, Twistringen), completed the podium in third place with Laura Abner in the saddle.
In the Juniors, Hann.Pr.A. Dalia by Don Nobless/Contendro (breeder: Stefan Aust, Armstorf) and Bennett McWhorter topped the overall standings. They were followed in second by Bingotti, a son of Bugatti Hilltop/Krack C (breeder: Kathleen Swalwell/USA), who is registered with the American Hanoverian Society, and Ellie Sloan. In the Children’s division, Dali du Montesy by Don Darius/Wolkenstein II (breeder: Henriette Bergendorf, Braedstrup/DEN) and Katherine Bright were delighted to receive the silver ribbon.
In the Developing Horste Grand Prix National Championship, Bianka SQF by Bon Coeur/Soliman de Hus (breeder: Rolf Deecke, Lachendorf) secured third place with Lesley Eden. Third in the Brentina Cup standings went to Fürst Fabelhaft UZN (Rhld.) by All at Once/Fidermark (breeder: Johannes Baumeister, Kranenburg) and Miki Yang. The chestnut first entered Dutch ownership through the 2016 stallion sales before making a name for himself in the United States. At Intermediaire I level, Candoit’s Scala by St. Schufro/Belissimo M (breeder: Georg Kok, Bunderhee) and Adam Steffens-Smienk finished third.
