The first medals have been awarded at the World Championships in Aachen/GER. In the dressage team competition, the Danish squad claimed the bronze medal behind Germany and Great Britain. The grand prix winners, Mount St John Freestyle by Fidermark/Donnerhall (dam line of Liebeslust, breeder: Stephan Kurz, Zöbingen) and Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour/DEN, delighted the spectators.
Just under two percentage points behind the Danish winners and sitting second in the Grand Prix standings were the reigning European champions Zonik Plus (Rhld.) v. Zonik/Hohenstein (dam line of Annemarie, breeder: Dressage Plus, Amadora/POR) and the Belgian Justin Verboomen. Despite this superb performance, the team finished fourth and narrowly missed out on a medal.
