\nNumerous delegates, members, and guests of honor accepted the invitation to the Hanoverian Society’s delegates’ assembly, which was opened by Hanoverian Society President Dr. Hinni L\u00fchrs-Behnke. Supervisory Board Chairman Henning Schmidt led the meeting through the agenda, which began with comprehensive reports from the Presidium, Management, Breeding Management, Supervisory Board, the Supporter\u2019s Club for Hanoverian Sport Horses, and the Young Breeders’ Organization.<\/p>\n

A special item on the agenda was the presentation by Dr. Christina M\u00fcnch from the HorseFuturePanel. Under the title \u201cTomorrow’s market for athletes and breeders,\u201d she presented current trends and developments in the horse industry, backed up by figures, data, and analyses on the satisfaction and expectations of equestrians in Germany. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A traditional part of the meeting is the recognition of deserving breeders and volunteers: Hermann J\u00fcrgen Rump (Norddrebber) led the Aller-Leine horse breeding club for 35 years and handed over his position to Birte Peterson. Frerich de Riese (Filsum) was active on the board of the East Frisia horse breeding club for over three decades, many of those years as managing director. From 2009 to 2020, he also represented the regional society of East Frisia on the Hanoverian Society’s general board. Uwe Wichers (Wingst) stepped down after 14 years as chairperson of the PZV Land Hadeln. He was succeeded by Kerstin Mahler. Fred Schr\u00f6der said goodbye to the PZV Hoya after almost 30 years of service, most recently as chairperson. J\u00fcrgen Stuhtmann (Bahlburg), who had already been awarded the Hanoverian Society’s Golden Pin of Honor in 2024, was named honorary chairperson of the PZRV Luhm\u00fchlen for over 30 years of service, including 17 years as second chairperson of the regional society L\u00fcneburg. Christoph Reese (Peine) looks back on over 50 years of active work in the Hildesheim\/Peine PZV, including many years as managing director. Henning Schmidt praised the achievements of all those honored with the words: \u201cOn behalf of the Hanoverian breeders, I would like to thank you for your valuable voluntary work. Your commitment has enriched and significantly shaped our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The prestigious Stakkato Prize was awarded again this year to young stallions with outstanding performances in the performance test. Four of the five prize winners had already been honored at the private stallion show and the stallion presentation at the Celle State Stud. The fifth award winner is Elton by Emerald van het Ruytershof\/Ludwig von Bayern, bred by Jens L\u00f6hden from Heeslingen. He impressed in the 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf with a final score of 8.48. The award highlights his potential \u2013 Elton will be based at the Marbach State Stud in the future. Johann L\u00f6hden accepted the award on his behalf. <\/p>\n

Christa and Ludger Welling (Wietmarschen) were already honored for the best mare family at the Herwart von der Decken Show: The collection \u201cMother with two daughters\u201d consisted of Hann.Pr.St. Fortuna W by For Romance\/Londonderry and her daughter Hann.Pr.A. Vita W by Vaderland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The 2024 annual financial statements and the report of the auditing firm Drangmeister, Scholz & Collegen GmbH were presented. The delegates voted by a large majority to allocate the profit of \u20ac208,261.42 to equity. The delegates then voted to approve the actions of the Board, Supervisory Board, and Management Board for the 2024 financial year.<\/p>\n

Due to the committee adjustments already decided in January 2025, no new elections for the Board took place as scheduled. Dieter Meyer’s term of office will therefore end on April 28, 2025; a by-election was not necessary. However, there was a by-election for the Supervisory Board: Matthias Grupe resigned his seat for professional reasons. Achim Schacke (Wittingen), whose seat on the Supervisory Board would have ended anyway as part of the committee downsizing, was elected to the committee.
\nChristina K\u00fcnneke (Soltau) takes over the position of Good Governance Officer from Norbert Bramlage. The Breeding Committee was reduced to three members: Dr. Frederic B\u00fcnger (Lahmspringe, dressage), Oliver Ross (Thedinghausen, show jumping), and Marco Kr\u00fcger (Munster, eventing).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
