The first Hanoverian champions have been crowned. In Luhm\u00fchlen, Stine B\u00f6 with Ayleen Stuhr, Butt’s Liam with Antonia von Baath, and Viscarella-Blossum with Wiebke Jaspers took home the white and yellow winner’s sashes. The accumulation of thoroughbreds in the pedigrees, paired with proven and consistent Hanoverian dam lines, was striking.<\/p>\n

The youngest determined their champion in an aptitude test with cross-country obstacles. Three mares led the field of four-year-olds. The victory went to Viscarella-Blossum (breeder: Stall Brummer, Bunde), a daughter of Viscerado\/F\u00fcrst Nymphenburg, and Wiebke Jaspers. The chestnut mare, who traces her lineage back to a Thoroughbred mare, has achieved four victories in four starts over the past two months. \u201cViscarella-Blossum is a horse where everything fits,\u201d says the rider happily. The silver ribbon went to Conthara by Conthargos\/Argentinus (breeder: Zuchthof Vogel, Enger) with Jandrik Markus Tech in the saddle. Third place went to Ada, daughter of Asagao xx\/Valentino (breeder: Norbert Sievers, Munster), who was masterfully ridden by Nadine Marzahl. The chestnut mare is a representative of the Novit\u00e4t dam line, which also includes the double world champion of young eventing horses, Lagona. All three mares were also awarded the Hanoverian Premium candidacy at the subsequent studbook inspection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The five-year-olds competed in a class A** cross-country horse test. Antonia von Baath had every reason to be happy. Not only did she ride Butt’s Liam by Grey Top\/Heraldik xx (breeder: Prof. Dr. Volker Steinkraus, Ollsen) to the title, but she also took second place with Alfie Undercover by Asagao xx\/Chakiris xx (breeder: Thomas and Maja Eichhorn, Heilshoop). Butt’s Liam is one of the youngest successful horses from the Liebeslust line, which not only produced the Olympic horses Leonas Dancer and Butts Leon, but also the top dressage horse Mount St John Freestyle. \u201cHe’s a real little \u2018galloping machine\u2019,\u201d said Antonia von Baath happily. Elena Otto-Erley cantered to bronze with Kiltimon Karl by Karajan\/Potsdam, bred by her father Friedrich Otto-Erley, Warendorf. His grandmother Splendid Sophie is the dam of Finest Fellow by Fidertanz, with whom Elena Otto-Erley achieved numerous top international placings.<\/p>\n

Three mares took the podium in the six-year-old category. The Hanoverian Champion was Hann.Pr.St. Stine B\u00f6 by Signum xx\/Carismo (breeder: Helmut B\u00f6ttcher, Ehlbeck) with Ayleen Stuhr. Three years ago, she was named best half-blood mare at the Herwart von der Decken Show, and last year she competed with Anna Siemer at the Bundeschampionat. In 2018, the successful eventing rider won the Bundeschampionat with Stine B\u00f6’s half-sister Clara B\u00f6 by Concours Complet. The Diacontinus\/Grey Top daughter Diadem (breeder: Ludwig Brokering, Eydelstedt) with Jan Matthias in the saddle became vice-champion. The gray mare from the Dalia line has not only already qualified for the Bundeschampionat of Eventing Horses, but also for the Bundeschampionat of Show Jumping Horses. Nadine Marzahl attended the award ceremony for the second time, this time with the Grey Top\/Natiello xx daughter Good vibes only (breeder: Christian-Wilhelm Ohse, Glendorf), with whom she won the white ribbon in the Hanoverian Championship classification of the L** cross-country horse test.<\/p>\n
