One week after the dressage stallions, the show jumping stallions had their big moment at the Hanoverian Society\u2019s stallion licensing. Twenty-nine of the 52 stallions that took part were licensed. Five representatives of the 2023 crop received the title \u201cpremium stallion\u201d for their outstanding quality. The front-runner in the price statistics was the premium stallion by Aganix du Seigneur Z, which was sold for 125,000 euros.<\/p>\n

26 licensed and 21 unlicensed stallions came to the stallion sales. The most sought-after premium stallion was the Aganix du Seigneur Z\/Cascavello son (breeder: Rafal Krajewski, Lwowek Wlkp\/POL, exhibitor: BG Ralf Ferri and Rafal Krajewski, Winsen). The chestnut stallion, who appears to have unlimited scope and comes from the dam line of Gerco Schr\u00f6der’s Olympic horse Eurocommerce Monaco, will promote Verden\u2019s licensing and the stallion sales in Belgium for 125,000 euros. The Chacco-Blue\/Nabab de Reve son (breeder: Caterina Schulz-Beelitz, Behrensdorf, exhibitor: Hauke Heinrich, Lensahn) was sold in to top hands, as well. Sold two years ago at the tournament foal auction at Hof Rosenbusch, the bay with excellent reflexes was sold for 102,000 euros to a successful breeding and training stable in Lower Saxony.<\/p>\n

Two foals that were part of the 2023 online auction \u201cVerden Foal Spring\u201d found new owners as premium stallions. A regular customer from the USA did not miss the opportunity to secure the light-footed jumping Diarado\/Chacoon Blue son (breeder: Paul Bergen, Wagenfeld, exhibitor: Carola Grotheer, Worpswede) for 95,000 euros. A high-class show jumping stable from the Czech Republic paid \u00a033,000 euros for the modern-looking Baloutaire PS\/Van Helsing son (breeder: Bernhard and Helmut Jasken, Haren, exhibitor: IB Berger, Sulzbach-Rosenberg) from the successful dam line of Jolante. This is the dam line of Katharine Burdsall\u2019s unforgettable World Cup winner The Natural. The fifth premium stallion, the grey by Valensky\/Stolzenberg (breeder and exhibitor: Peter Wisch, Otterndorf), is already the second premium son of St.Pr.St. Stina, who is herself one of Hanover’s most successful show mares. His pedigree goes back to the foundation mare Ob\u00f6e. He will be placed in the hands of the best trainers for 28,000 euros.<\/p>\n

The Emerald van het Ruytershof\/Balou du Rouet son (breeder and exhibitor: Dr Elmar Thiemann, Himbergen) will move into a box at the Celle State Stud. This secures the genes of the mare of the century, Fairness III Z, for \u00a048,000 euros. He will be accompanied by the bay by Halifax van het Kluizebos\/Carrico (breeder: Heide and Helmut Peters, Hammah, exhibitor: Sophia Sch\u00e4fer, Efringen-Kirchen), which was available for 31,000 euros. The Warendorf State Stud also found what it was looking for and purchased the grey by Grey Top\/Comte (breeder and exhibitor: Peter Mahler, Neuhaus) for 38,000 euros. His dam Hann.Pr.St. Coco M won the prestigious Herwart von der Decken Prize in August this year with his two full sisters Hann.Pr.A. Golden Hour M and Hann.Pr.A. Golden Moment M.<\/p>\n

Highly favoured by the jumping experts was the bay by Forlee\/Chacco-Blue (breeder: Harm Wiebusch, Fredenbeck, exhibitor: Pferdezucht Wiebusch GbR, Fredenbeck), which cost 86,000 euros. The half-brother of Chloe Reid’s Grand Prix horse Crossover will be the stable neighbour of the premium stallion by Diarado\/Chacoon Blue. The day before, his second half-brother Action hero by Action Blue won the Hanoverian Show Jumping Masters for seven- and eight-year-olds with rider Mynou Diederichsmeier.<\/p>\n

The average price of the 26 licensed stallions was \u00a037,981 euros. International interest was high, with around 50 per cent of the stallions expected to leave Germany. An average of 23,071 euros had to be invested in the 21 unlicensed stallions.<\/p>\n
