123rd Elite-Auction of Hanoverian Ridinghorses and foals

[ Auction-brochure ]

Dundee sold at Euro 320,000

The 123rd Hanoverian Elite Auction in Verden ended with an excellent result. Top-priced horse was the Don Frederico/Falkland-son Dundee (breeder: Jürgen Hake, Wagenfeld - exhibitor: Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver), sold at Euro 320,000 to Bavaria. The 86 riding horses were sold at an average price of Euro 35,500, the foals changed owner at averagely Euro 6,954.

The four-year-old Dundee was the star of the first-class dressage horse collection. He was perfectly presented by Andreas Müller. The customers from Bavaria were the first time in Verden and more than happy when finally the lot was knocked down after an exciting bidder’s duel. „Our customers appreciated the high quality of our dressage horses, and they purchased for quality,“ breeding manager Dr. Werner Schade said.

Most expensive show jumping horse was Saphir by Stolzenberg/Graf Grannus (breeder: Heinrich Beutner, Meinersen - exhibitor: Peter Baust, Hespe), sold at Euro 105,000 to an ambitious young show jumping rider from Austria. Five Hanoverian horses were sold at more than Euro 100,000, eight others at more than Euro 50,000. „We are completely satisfied, our expectations have been exceeded,“ auction manager Dr. Günther Friemel said.

The number of national customers outweighed. 52 Hanoverian horses will stay in Germany, 34 were sold abroad. Customer groups from Canada and Russia purchased each five horses.

51 foals were put up for auction. Euro 6,954 was the average auction sales price. Top-priced foal was the Bentley/De Niro-son Bennett (breeder and exhibitor: Reinhard Wilms GbR, Hinte) for whom a stallion raiser from Austria paid Euro 50,000.

“This was a fantastic autumn debut for the Hannoveraner Verband,” Dr. Werner Schade said. The Stallion Licensing and Stallion Market will be held in Verden from October 21 to 23, the November Auction of Hanoverian riding horses two weeks later. The Alsfelder Advent another 14 days later will complete the series of sales events in 2010.

Thank you!

Thank you to our guests and to our sponsors. We wish you good luck with your new Hanoverians!
