There are two types of memberships with the Hanoverian Association:
- Regular members, called Hanoverian breeders.
A Hanoverian breeder is an owner of either a mare, which is currently
registered in one of the divisions of the Hanoverian breeding book, or
a stallion, which is registered in the stallion book I.
- Associate members, called Hanoverian partners.
This is a supporting membership with the following main services:
- Subscription to the member magazine
“DER HANNOVERANER” (twelve times a year)
resp. "THE HANOVERIAN" (six times a year)
- Reduced participation fee to Verden’s horse seminars

Active membership – The breeder’s membership
If you own a Hanoverian mare and want to breed registered Hanoverians you must become an active member of the Hannoveraner Verband e. V.
This is how you become a “Hanoverian Breeder":
1. Through registering a mare at a mare inspection,
2. Through transferring an already registered mare to a new owner
3. Through registering a stallion in the stallion book I.
Please use the application form you find above.
With the application, an admission fee is due according to the fee structure.
An annual fee is due for every registered mare and for the partner membership. This fee includes a subscription for the association’s magazine DER HANNOVERANER, which is published monthly.
Please be informed, that you will automatically be billed for each mare which is currently registered under your name unless we get a written notice from you by November 15, that you want to have your mare cancelled. So please send us your notice in time if you have a mare which is not used for breeding.
The same applies to your partner membership. It will automatically be renewed each year unless we receive your written cancellation by September 30 at the latest.
