Hanoverian riding and pleasure horses in one collection

The result of the May-Auction was more than satisfying. It was the first time that the pleasure horses of the program “Experience Hanoverians” were integrated into the collection of Hanoverian riding horses. The average auction price, developed out of a sound price structure, was Euro 11,098 for 99 sold horses. The 32 horses sold to nine different countries will beat the big drum for this kind of auction, especially in Scandinavia.

„It was not so much an experiment as the consequent further development of offering all kinds of Hanove-rian horses at the Verden auction,“ auction manager Dr. Guenther Friemel summarized. The buyers from Germany and abroad confirmed with their interest that this system is coherent. The Riding and Driving School already proved its worth last year, and the atmosphere at this venue in the second year of the re-construction works of the Niedersachsenhalle matched the bright spring weather.

Top-priced horse was the highly appreciated and promising dressage prospect, the four-year-old Rock Steady by Rascalino/Sandro, bred and exhibited by Heiner Sudowe, Wallenhorst. Customers from France purchased the bay gelding at Euro 51,000. Euro 20,000 was the highest price paid for a horse from the show jumping collection, the four-year-old bay mare Clara Juana by Count Grannus/Don Juan, bred and exhibited by Irene and Ewald Ripke, Hitzacker. The fantastic top price of Euro 15,000 was achieved twice for two pleasure horses from the program “Experience Hanoverians”: for the six-year-old black mare Ha-vanna K by Hochadel/Santini (breeder: Eva and Axel Hartmann, Schortens, exhibitor: Dr. Wilfried Kahl, Schneverdingen) and Balalaica by Buddenbrock/Arogno, bred and exhibited by Inga Dralle, Buchholz-Marklendorf. The auction was again perfectly led by auctioneer Friedrich-Wilhelm Isernhagen.
Breeding and business manager Dr. Werner Schade was pleased about the result of the auction: „We have once again set an example and have proven that the Hannoveraner Verband is perfectly positioned in the market with novelties for the benefit of its members and friends all over the world.”

4th Sales Week 2010

The fourth salesweek for Hanoverian pleasure horses closed with a very satisfying result. 21 of the 24 offered horses were sold at an average auction sales price of Euro 7,750.

Bella Donna by Belissimo M/World Magic, bred and owned by Alfons Dahlhaus, Wadersloh, was the top-priced horse of the day. The mare was sold at Euro 13,900 to a family from Hessen. Bella Donna is already their third Hanoverian horse, purchased at one of the sales weeks. The mare will start her career as dressage horse. Apart from fantastic character and composure, she displays three excellent basic gaits. Roger by Royal Blend/Wesley (breeder and exhibitor: Alfred Rathkam, Bassum) was the second most expensive horse, sold at Euro 12,000 to Bavaria.

The Sales Week attracted potential customers from all over Germany. Besides customers from Bavaria (five) and Hessen (four), the new owners come from Baden-Württemberg (one), Schleswig-Holstein (one), Lower Saxony (eight) and North Rhine-Westphalia (one). Like last year, one horse was sold to France: Shakespeare by Silvio/Freedom was sold at Euro 10,000 to our southern neighbouring country.

With its program „Experience Hanoverians“, Hannoveraner Verband satisfies the constantly increasing interest and demand in Hanoverian pleasure horses. The horses were already frequently tested on Tuesday, the first day of the Sales Week. Customers were especially enthusiastic about the relaxed atmosphere and the fantastic expert advice provided by the Verden team.

3rd Sales Week 2009

The third Sales Week for Hanoverian pleasure horses was held on the area around the Verden Niedersachsenhalle from May 18 to 23. During this week, potential customers from Germany, but also from Italy, France and Switzerland had the possibility to observe and to test the 18 selected horses.

13 horses were sold between Euro 7,500 and 16,000, one more horse directly after the Sales Week. The dark-brown gelding Mambo by Metternich/Ehrentusch, exhibited by Tanja Kronhofmann, Bochum, and Werner Heitgreß, Lienen, was the top-priced horse of this event. He was an extremely pleasing horse, and with his fantastic composure in every situation, he developed into the most popular horse of this Sales Week. The four-year-old grey mare Rosalie by Rotspon/Diorello, owned by Matthias Klatt, Hahausen, was sold to customers from France.

The Sales Week was complemented by presentations on how to train young horses and on ground work. Heinrich Frhr. V. Senden showcased the training of young driving horses. Lena Kassebaum from Seesen and her eight-year-old Rotspon-son demonstrated that Hanoverian horses are also good for western riding. The Verden Horse Clinics also included a seminar on ground work according to „The Gentle Touch“-method. The well-known instructor Peter Kreinberg presented his work with horses from the sales collection.

2nd Sales Week 2008

Last year, the second sales week for pleasure horses under the motto “Experience Hanoverians” was held in Verden with a very satisfying result. The seven-year-old Markus Deak xx/Amarillo-daughter Makita (breeder and exhibitor: A. Mueller, Alfstedt) was sold at Euro 15,000. The purchaser from Rhineland-Palatinate is satisfied owner of a Natiello xx-son he bought at the first sales week for pleasure horses in 2007. Hot Brownie, a four-year-old gelding by His Highness/Alabaster (breeder: C. Becken, Loxstedt, owner: W. Boerger, Loxstedt) was sold at Euro 11,400.

The exhibitors at the sales week obtained prices between Euro 6,500 and 15,000. Hanoverian pleasure horses were sold to all areas of Germany, but also abroad. They will move to new stables in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Bavaria. The six-year-old mare Rosella by Rotspon/Weltmeyer (breeder and exhibitor: R. Boesch, Buekau) will find her new home in Great Britain.

The weather was fantastic during the whole week when the horses were presented on the racetrack area of the Hanoverian Society. The course included exercises of composure tests, and the horses had to demonstrate composure, strong nerves, rideability and character. The event was complemented by two clinics: Christoph Hess (head of the training department of the German Equestrian Federation) presented the composure test and Peter Kreinberg the Verden horse clinic “ground work according to The Gentle-Touch®-method”.
