The four-year-old bay gelding Ludwig von Lehringen by Le Primeur – Sherlock Holmes, bred by Friedrich Luessmann, Neustadt, and exhibited by Johann Dittmer, Kirchlinteln, was the top-priced horse of the Winter Auction for Hanoverian riding horses on January 24. The promising show jumping horse was ridden by Christoph Kühl, and he will be trained in the future by the internationally successful Irish rider Cameron Hanley.
The overall result of the first Verden auction in 2009 was quite satisfying: 93 horses were sold at an average auction sales price of Euro 13,667.74. 50 horses will be exported to 15 different countries. There were lots of happy and satisfied customers in the crowded Niedersachsenhalle.
The four-year-old Rohan by Rousseau – Bergamon was the top-priced dressage horse, sold at Euro 37.000. Reinhold Haferland from Winsen bred and exhibited the black horse who was sold to Rhineland.
